Free School Meal Applications

Please remember that all Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children are currently provided with a FREE school lunch through Government funding.  However, we still need parents of children in these year groups to apply if they are eligible for Free School Meals, as this information is used by the Government to provide an additional funding grant to our school.

Norfolk County Council provide an online Free School Meals Application Service.  Parents can create an account and using their details, check on entitlement to free school meals.  This information will be submitted directly to Norfolk County Council for processing.

Exceptional Absence Request Form

Please note that there is no automatic right to any form of absence in term time and parents are reminded that sustained absence from school can have a very negative impact on their child’s achievement and progress.  The Government has changed the authority delegated to Headteachers and Governing Bodies for authorising holidays.  We are no longer permitted to authorise any term time absence, unless exceptional circumstances can be demonstrated.

A copy of the ’exceptional’ absence request form is available from the school office or to download from the link below.  Please note the higher expectation of at least 90% attendance by the Department for Education. Attendance below this will trigger a ‘persistent absence’ warning letter and fine, unless medical/supporting evidence can be provided.
