Governors

The Governing Body of West Winch Primary School is responsible for setting the ethos and vision of the school, identifying areas where the school needs to improve and planning how to make those improvements. It makes sure that the educational performance of pupils is strong and that the budget is used properly and effectively.

All members of the West Winch Governing Body are required to sign a Register of Business & Personal Interests at the start of each academic year - and we update this document for each Main Governing Body Meeting or Governors Committee Meeting.

As from 1/1/26, all relevant business and pecuniary interests for all Governors have been returned as nil.

Governors have full voting rights at each main or committee meeting they attend.

West Winch Primary School is committed to equality for all Governors.  We will not discriminate against anyone on the ground of their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.  For more information see our Equal Opportunities Policy, which can be found by clicking the information tab (at the top of this website page) and then the school policies link.

Governing Body Committees are Finance & Premises, Curriculum, Discipline and Personnel.  These committees meet across the year as required. Governors also take on certain responsibilities during the year, across a number of other specific areas.  These include Prevent, Safeguarding, Special Needs and Anti-Racism.

To contact the Governing Body, please write to Mrs Heather Habbin at the main school address:

West Winch Primary School, Back Lane, West Winch, King’s Lynn, PE33 0LA.
